The entire members and executive committee of NDC in the United States of America (USA), have congratulated the president-elect of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama on his decisive victory in the December 7 election.

The NDC-USA branch has pledged to support the new NDC government in Ghana to succeed.

They also commended Ghanaian voters for reposing utmost confidence in former president John Dramani Mahama.

"The NDC USA pledges its unflinching support for H.E President John Dramani Mahama, H. E Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, the entire incoming government and wishes them a great success in resetting Ghana for the benefit of the Ghanaian electorate and Ghanaians who have reposed their utmost confidence in President Mahama and the NDC", Vivian Maame Aba Dadzie, the NDC-USA chapter chairman.

The statement stated, "This resounding victory demonstrates the urgent need of Ghanaians for a new government that will alleviate the untold hardship Ghanaian are facing in the country. However, and more importantly, it highlights the belief of Ghanaians in the leadership style and the Vision of their excellencies, John Dramani Mahama and Jane Naana Agyemang Opoku to reset the country. Professor Naana Jane’s victory, as the first ever Vice President of Ghana, it is believed, will be a source of encouragement and power for Ghanaian women and women around the globe in their emancipation and gender-balance efforts".

Vivian Maame Aba Dadzie took the opportunity to congratulate the NDC elected MPs and urged them to support the John Mahama-Jane Opoku-Agyeman government to alleviate the untold economic hardship Ghanaians are going through.

On behalf of the Chapter Executive Committee and the entire membership of the NDC- USA, I wish to extend our warmest congratulations to the President-elect, H.E John Dramani Mahama and the first Woman-Vice President-elect, H.E, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyeman, on their decisive victory in the December 7, election.
