Mr Kofi Mensah, a National Democratic Congress Activist in Tema has appealed to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to be fair in the employment of Ghanaians into various public offices.

“First and foremost, we are Ghanaians and party affiliations are only secondary and that is why there should be fairness.

Mr Mensah in as statement copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra alleged that the government would soon recruit its party members into the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) and questioned why it should be only party members.

“NADMO is a public organisation and we in NDC believe that it will be unfair to limit recruitment to only NPP members.

He alleged that a NADMO Coordinator for Tema, recently announced the recruitments to Polling Station Executives of the NPP in the Constituency.

According to Mr. Mensah, the official told some NPP faithful recently that his boss, the Director General of NADMO, called Coordinators and informed them of the upcoming recruitments.

He alleged that prospective recruits would be required to produce NPP party cards as part of the qualification criteria.

When the programme with the IMF was on-going, one of the rules was that Government could not employ until the programme was completed.

Mr Mensah called on government to confirm or deny the story for Ghanaians to ascertain the truth.
