With reorganization from the grassroots level as its sole focus now, the National Democratic Congress appears to be growing in confidence as far as their victory and re-entry into power in 2020 is concerned.

From the unity walks in all 10 regions nationwide, to meetings with executives at the lower levels and various reorganization techniques in place, Former President John Dramani Mahama is assertive that the NDC has a 100% chance of regaining more than 50 seats in parliament in the next elections.

Speaking at the maiden National Conference of Ex-MMDCES, Mr. Mahama said hard work and consistency on the part of every party member, particularly persons at the grassroots level will ensure that the party secures massive victory in the next elections.

“We have the ability to capture more than 50 seats back from the NPP in the next election, if we handle ourselves well and if we are to handle ourselves well and make this reorganization effective”, he told former Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives on Saturday.

He urged the DCEs to give off their best to garner the support of party members at the grassroots level.

With enough work done, he believes losing the 2020 elections is a ‘no option’ for the NDC.

“We count on you to help us at the grassroots level to make sure that things go very well. We cannot exclude the role of DCE’s at the grassroot level and I’m sure with the zeal and passion I’ve seen in you today, nothing makes me doubt that by the Grace of God, we will win 2020 and come back into government,” he said.
