The 2024 Vice-Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh has urged supporters and sympathizers not to vote against the party in the upcoming December polls.
Dr. Prempeh popularly known as NAPO, who was speaking at a mini-rally in the lead-up to the party’s manifesto launch on Sunday said the National Democratic Congress (NDC) would not have bettered the ruling party’s performance had they been in office.
In his speech, he reechoed his party’s well-scripted talking points that the economic difficulties the country was experiencing were a consequence of the Russia-Ukraine War and a global health crisis.
“It is true that times are hard but at the time when they didn’t have to be dealing with Covid and Russia-Ukraine War, they claimed they could not pay teachers.
“What would they have done if they were in power today?” NAPO asked.
He encouraged the gathering to read the NPP manifesto when it is outdoors hinting job creation as a pillar of the party’s plan for the next four years.
Dr. Prempeh has been barnstorming the country, making his case to Ghanaians on why the incumbent party need to be given a historic third consecutive term in office.
