NDC creating a bleak future for the youth - Awuku

Deputy Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sammy Awuku, has warned that the reckless handling of the Ghanaian economy by the Mahama-led National Democratic Congress administration will result in pretty shortly Ghana once again turning into a Highly Indebted Poor Country (HIPC).

According to him, Ghana may become a HIPC nation because the ruling party has been mismanaging the financial coffers of the State, hence running the State into debts.

He recounted the economic crisis befalling the nation; the energy and water crisis, as a major threat to the progress of the economy.

He believed, under the administration of President John Mahama, the biggest crime in the nation is living "poor" because the hardships of the economy does not provide a comfortable ground for the underprivileged societies and individuals to thrive.

He also bemoaned the nature of Ghana's education system, which he expressed, has seemingly become "the survival of the fittest." Due to this, poor families find it difficult to give their wards quality education.

He held strongly that the government is "creating a bleak future for the Ghanaian youth.”

To him, with the NDC government, corruption is like a "sticker", hence making the government and corruption compatible "twins."
