NDC gov't can never improve economy - Ken. Agyapong

The government of President John Mahama has not a single solutions to offer in lessening the economic and social hardship of the people of Ghana, says Assin Central MP, Kennedy Agyapong.

Mr. Agyapong believes with the government failing to identify the right areas to invest its scarce resources and the resultant corruption that has engulfed every area of government's investment, the people of Ghana will experience hardship for a while.

According to Kennedy Agyapong, even with the help of a modern compass, the leadership of the National Democratic Congress would find it extremely difficult to find their way out of corruption.

The outspoken NPP Member of Parliament for Assin Central asserted that most of the current government appointees can hardly do away with corruption and for this reason, had forgotten their priorities as state ministers.

“If they (NDC state officials) truly knew what their priority is, they would have channeled most of the money the nation is making from oil extraction into producing electricity. Electricity is currently the backbone of our economy,” he said.

Speaking on Peace FM’s Midday News, Hon. Agyapong strongly held that without a change in government, the current “NDC government can never improve our economy again”.
