A group calling itself the Young Professionals, have begun a campaign dubbed ‘One-Nana-one-term’ to get the President Nana Akufo-Addo government out of power, less than two years in office.

According to the group the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government has demonstrated that it cannot improve the lives of Ghanaians and rather supervising incompetence at various sectors.

The group, which has identified itself as an offshoot of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), said the president is failing to allow due procedure to be applied in dealing with corrupt practices and rather hastens to whitewash government to score political points.

Convenor for the group, Elikem Kotoko, who was speaking at a news conference in Accra on Wednesday 9 May 2018, as part of their assessment of the NPP-led government, further stated that the president appears to be running out of time on achieving his flagship One-district-one-factory project.

He further indicated that government has failed to deliver on its numerous promises and they shall demand fulfillment of the promises “until the term ‘One –Nana-one-term’ becomes the very drive to vote against this government on the basis of massive and pervasive corruption, gross incompetence, deceit and broken promises coupled with cronyism, nepotism baptised with arrogance”.
