NDC has destroyed the integrity of KPMG - John Boadu

A Deputy Communications Director of the NPP, John Boadu, has said the counsel for the NDC in the 2012 Presidential Election Petition, Tsatsu Tsikata, has tarnished the image of renowned accounting firm, KPMG, by indirectly blaming them for the increase in number of the head count of boxes containing the pink sheets.

“The NDC is creating an unnecessary impression as if something is wrong with KPMG. They should go beyond hearsays. KPMG, an internationally renowned company who is offering a free service and they (NDC) are rather tarnishing their image.

“… If it turns out that the company counting the boxes did not complain and the NDC are rather crying loud that the boxes of pink sheets shoot up from 24 to 31 after counting, what are they (NDC) doing to KPMG? They are destroying their integrity,” he said.

Counsel for the third respondent, Tsatsu Tsikata, complained to the Supreme Court that seven boxes have been added to the original number of boxes being audited by KPMG.

Mr. Tsikata further said it bothered on matters of criminality and raised an oral objection for added control in the auditing of the pink sheets, but the Supreme Court dismissed his objection and ordered Mr. Tsikata to channel his complaint to KPMG.

Speaking on Asempa FM, the NPP man indicated that Mr. Tsikata should rather be charged for ‘criminality’ in court for giving wrong information in his cross examination process.

“Mr. Tsikata refused to tell the number of pink sheets he was served with by the NPP and said that it was his secret. It is criminal for Tsatsu Tsikata to give wrong information in court instead. It clearly shows that, the NDC don’t even understand the issue in court, their ignorance is too great.

“If the NDC claim there have been an add up of the original number of pink sheets, were they the only people in the auditing room or are they witches…? Reps of all the parties were present so what are they talking about…?”, he asked rhetorically.
