NDC is a lawless party – NPP MP

Vociferous MP for the Adenta-Asokwa Constituency, K.T Hammond has at taken a swipe at the NDC, calling its supporters law wreckers and dangerous rioters.

“The bottom line of all that we are talking about seriously is that the NDC is a lawless party.”

The NPP MP said this when contributing on Citi FM’s The Big Issue, on the recent riot by his rival party’s supporters to register their displeasure for President Mahama’s re-nomination of the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Nkwanta North in the Volta Region.

The riot came on the heels of a similar incident at salaga where some NDC supporters lighted the party office and destroyed parts of the Fire Service vehicle.

This time around, the rioters at Nkwanta demonstrated their displeasure by reportedly flaming five Government Vehicles.

They were angry at the fact that President Mahama had defied their petition not re-nominate the embattled DCE for another term since he (DCE) had failed to deliver.

“In NPP these are things that you cannot dream about, but the NDC put them into practical action. This is typically politics and not Ghanaian”, the NPP MP opined.

The NDC MP for Builsa North Constituency, James Agalga also condemned actions of his party members.

“Those who are found to have misconducted themselves and to have committed a crime ought to be dealt with in accordance to the law, we are not interested in shielding anybody,” he noted.
