NDC is fully aware Mahama is no match for Bawumia - Ofoe Teye

The Tema East constituency Chairman of the NPP, Nene Ofoe Teye-Chu Agbadiagba lV, has said the opposition National Democratic Congress is keenly aware that its presidential candidate for the 2024 elections, John Dramani Mahama, can never beat the presidential candidate of the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

According to him, it is because of this keen awareness that the NDC has resorted to communist inferior tactics, including claiming that the Agyapadie state capture agenda document that is circulating is true.

“How unfortunate that such an established political party and its leaders would believe that a useless document that was clearly authored by people who do not even know the history of Ghana well is valid,” he said.

He furthered that the NDC asserting that the Agyapadie document is true shows how desperate they are about the meagre chances of their presidential candidate.

“The NDC knows that John Dramani Mahama can never beat Bawumia, hence these communist inferior tactics,” Nene said.

Nene’s comments follow recent claims by John Dramani Mahama that the Agyapadie document is true, even though President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has debunked it.

According to Nene, the NDC is the “author and finisher of that fake document,” and the fake document tends to be released into the public domain only during elections.

“They normally do this when they realize that they are about to lose the election,” he added, pointing out that the document popped up during the 2020 elections as well.

Underscoring the danger of such political propaganda, Nene Agbadiagba suggested that it could spark potential communal and ethnic violence and called on Ghanaians to reject the narrative.

“And to the NDC, I want them to know that it is not our fault that they elected an unattractive candidate; they made that mistake themselves. If they now regret electing John Mahama, who has no voter appeal, they should just learn from the mistake and move on, rather than risking the peace and cohesion of this country because of John Mahama.”

“My appeal is to those level-headed ones who know that the mistake that has led to the NDC losing the 2024 election is the choice of the wrong candidate. Please prevail on the mischievous ones before they plunge this country into ethnic or tribal war,” he said.
