NDC is irresponsible - Tony Aidoo

Deputy Defence Minister during the NDC administration, Dr. Tony Aidoo has described the party as “irresponsible”.

“Our political party the NDC is so irresponsible behaving like the landlord who opens the door wide and shows all his gold for the (thief) to come and steal and then after that he bolt the door and stand there and cry”.

Speaking on Saturday on the Alhaji and Alhaji programme on Radio Gold, Dr. Aidoo said the NDC allowed the NPP to steal its glory.

According to him, the National Health Insurance Scheme and the poverty alleviation strategy were started by the NDC, and the NPP laid claim to them.

Dr. Aidoo accused the NPP of “always plagiarizing, always stealing what does not belong to them.”

On the voter registration currently going on, he suggested that prospective voters should be made to use their birth certs to register.

That he said will be the only way to avoid fraud in the process.

According to him, all the three elections conducted under the NDC were free and fair and well organised.

He said the complaints that followed the 1992 elections were unjustified because the opposition was “just crying wolf”.

Dr. Tony Aidoo said the flag-bearer of the CPP, Dr. Paa Kwesi Ndoum is not fit to lead the party.

“This man will damage the CPP before the end of this election. He doesn’t have the credentials, he doesn’t have the morality, he doesn’t have the ideological orientation, he has nothing that should even put in the CPP, he is an aberration, he charged.

He said Dr. Ndoum cannot claim to implement a policy that will make the president pay tax should he win the elections “when as an ordinary Ndoum he refused to pay tax under guise that he was” an American citizen.

Contributing to the discussion, the founder and leader of the United Renaissance Party, Mr. Kofi Wayo said the NDC was better than the NPP.

He said while under the NDC people were given only identification haircuts, people were being killed under the NPP citing Issah Mobilla and the Ya Na.

Mr. said a civil war likely to erupt in the country because the grounds were fertile for that situation.
