The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has lauded the Board Chairman of the Bulk Oil Transportation Company (BOST), Dr. Kyei Acheampong for stepping down following allegations of his involvement in the collapse of Sovereign Bank.
Deputy National Communications Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kwaku Boahen says the decision by the former Board Chairman of the now defunct Sovereign Bank must be applauded as he has shown leadership.
According to him, it is rare for men and women in high positions in the country to voluntarily relinquish their positions when they are cited in corrupt practices or conflict of interest issues.
In his opinion, the move by the Chairman of GLICO, is most commendable and shows he is a man of integrity that must be emulated by all men and women in high places.
“I duff my hat out for the man. He has done absolutely well and we must all praise him for such a bold and decisive move. He has shown that he is a man of integrity and has earned my utmost respect. Infact after the investigations if he is exonerated, he should be promoted” he said during a discussion on Accra based UTV and monitored by MyNewsGh.com.
