NDC members called to be vigilant against double registration

Techiman (B/A), March 1, GNA- Professor John Evans Atta-Mills, NDC Flagbearer, has called on supporters of the party to be vigilant against double registration when the new voters' register is re-opened. Prof. Atta-Mills made the call at a meeting with party supporters in Techiman after attending the funeral of the late Omanhene of Techiman Traditional area, Osabarima Dotobibi Takyia Ameyaw II.

He asked the party's followers and sympathizers to get involved in the registration exercise by educating eligible people to register so that they could vote to return the NDC to power.

Prof. Atta-Mills told them not only to be vigilant but also to check against registration of minors.

The NDC is bent on recapturing political power through legitimate means and this can only be achieved if every sympathizer of the party patronizes the registration exercise.

Prof. Atta-Mills commended members and supporters of the party for their hard work and enthusiasm and urged them to avoid insults. He appealed to executives of the party in Techiman South to iron out any differences between the elected parliamentary candidate and the loser so that they could recapture the seat from the NPP.

Mr. Owusu Agyeman, a legal practitioner who lost the primaries to Mr. Simon Addai, a teacher, in response pledged to work hand-in-hand with the candidate to achieve a resounding victory for the party. With Prof. Atta-Mills were Colonel E.K.T. Donkor (rtd) and former NDC ministers.
