The CEO of Forestry Commission, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, popularly known as Sir John is very positive the political demise of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) could become a reality, sooner than later.

Sir John believes the NDC will not come to power until Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has had the opportunity of serving a full eight-year term of office.

The former General Secretary of the ruling party, was speaking in an interview with Kwami Sefa Kayi, host of Peace FM's morning show 'Kokrokoo'.

Explaining why he thinks Bawumia will be president after Akufo-Addo, he said: "it is factual that the ruling government has performed tremendously well. After the mess left behind by the previous administration headed by John Dramani Mahama; the damage they caused, and the way this government has fixed the economy, if it were to be related to an examination, Akufo-Addo will poll 80 percent.

"He even qualifies to get 90 percent. We want to tell John Mahama that even with the ten percent left, NDC is still not an option. It is only Akufo-Addo we want…by 2020 Ghanaians will endorse Akufo Addo again," he added.
