Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nektia General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has dispelled claims that the party is only well versed at winning elections but has no competence to govern.

He explains that political parties that are not good at governing are mostly one-term governments because they are unable to meet the demands of the electorate who mostly accuse them of deceit. He observes that NDC has over the period proven its worth which is why Ghanaians mandated it for two terms and are bracing up to grant them another term.

On the Ultimate Breakfast Show hosted by Lantam Papanko, he described as Illogical such claims indicating that no party has monopoly over winning an election for another term if it fails to fulfill its campaign promises.

“We have delivered on our promises and that is how come Ghanaians mandated the party for the second term. If you don’t deliver on your promises, you will be fished out and you cannot do more than a term”, he observed.

According to him, the NDC has over the period met the demands of the electorate and is showcasing that through the President’s accounting to the people’s tour for all to see what it has done.

“The tour is a clear manifestation of our achievements which has been endorsed by the beneficiary communities”, he concluded.
