One of three persons who were jailed for threatening the lives of judges in the country, Godwin Ako Gunn has stated that the governing NDC is not ready to relinquish power.
Godwin Ako Gunn, Alistair Nelson and Salifu Maase were convicted on the charges of scandalizing the court, defying and lowering the authority of the court and bringing it into disrepute and senteced to a four-month jail term. But President John Dramani Mahama remitted the sentences of the three a month later.
Speaking at the campaign launch of the NDC's candidate for the Tema Central constituency, Ebi Bright, Godwin Ako Gunn said the NDC would only leave power 'when it is tired'.
" ...when NDC is in power, no party can move NDC out of power. When NDC is tired we leave power but 2016 we are not tired....we are not ready to leave power" Ako Gunn said to a charged crowd at Tema on Sunday.
