Member of Parliament for Kintampo North, Joseph Kwame Kumah, has commended Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng for his impartiality in the Airbus scandal investigation.

Kumah praised Kissi Agyebeng for resisting what he referred to as external pressure in the case.

According to Kumah, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is not surprised by the investigation’s outcome, as the party was confident in the innocence of Mahama.

He noted that former President John Mahama himself was not overly excited about the result, as he knew he was not guilty of any wrongdoing.

In an interview with Happy Kasiebo, Kumah described President Mahama as a person of great integrity and trustworthiness.

He acknowledged that there was initial confusion when the issue surfaced but reiterated their belief in Mahama’s innocence.

“When the issue first emerged, some of us were initially confused. However, in today’s politics, it’s common for individuals to use propaganda to achieve political gain.

"My father always taught me that the truth should be our guiding principle, and no matter how many lies are spread against you, the truth will ultimately prevail with God’s help. This is exactly what has happened for His Excellency John Dramani Mahama,” he said.

Kumah criticized the political propaganda that emerged around the scandal, suggesting it was used to manipulate public opinion and gain political advantage. He urged Ghanaians to remain vigilant against misinformation and to discern truth from propaganda as the December elections approach.
