The ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Trobu, Maame Efua Sekyi-Aidoo has officially opened uncountable projects and social interventions which will directly benefit residents of Trobu ahead of December polls.

Checks reveal ten (10) fully completed boreholes had been shared among five communities; Afeaman alone had five (5) boreholes, Stadium had two (2) whilst Aborkorpe, Teacher Korpe, and ‘Anyway’, all suburbs of Trobu had one each, whilst five others at Asofa were still under construction.

Already, under her Social Interventions, fees for about 40 school children had been catered for, whilst the ‘Maame Efua’s Widow Fund had also improved the lives of over 150 widows in the constituency.

To help curb unemployment among the youth, particularly among teenage women, a soap and detergent making outfit had been put up to enrol unemployed youth with interest in improving their skills in entrepreneurship and trading.

More so, under Maame Efua’s benevolence, a number of motorbikes had been donated to the Asofan and the Amasaman Police to help expedite actions on crime combat, whilst monies pumped into the completion of a Police Post at Tantra, a suburb of the Constituency.

Apart from her personal contributions into the lives of a number of marginalized residents, many are those she had assisted in acquiring loans from the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC).

With these, Maame Efua has been crowned by the Trobu electorates as the ‘Paul’ of Trobu, which literally is likened to the ‘biblical Paul’ whose recorded achievements surpassed that of the 12 Apostles.

“This is not strict politics; it is about the welfare of us, the electorate, even though she is not yet our MP, there are so many things she has done already for us, already she has won my heart, all we want is development, and by far she is indeed the kind of person we need to represent us in Parliament”, one of the electorate during Maame Efua’s house to house campaign intimated.
