NDC's Araba Tagoe attacked

Information reaching DAILY GUIDE indicates that a deputy women organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Western Region, Araba Tagoe, has been attacked with a cutlass by a man believed to be in his early 30s.

DAILY GUIDE gathered that in the process, she sustained serious wounds.

It was gathered also that the assailant,called Kwame Boison who lives around the same vicinity with the victim, took to his heels after allegedly committing the crime.

A source in the regional NDC claimed that on that fateful day, the attacker went to his room, brought out a sharp cutlass and attacked the deputy women’s organiser for no apparent reason.

The source claimed that, her daughter upon hearing her mother shouting in her room, quickly dashed to the scene only to find Boison with a a sharp machete cutting her mother

According to the source, the vociferous NDC stalwart was later rushed to the GHAPOHA Clinic in Takoradi where she is currently receiving treatment.

Meanwhile, initial reports were that the attacker lived with the victim and that he suffered from high fever and that might have caused him to perpetrate the dastardly act.

Others also alleged that the victim had a confrontation with the assailant which resulted in the incident.

The NDC source told DAILY GUIDE that an official complaint was yet to be lodged with the police.

The 2nd Lady, Matilda Ammisah-Arthur is said to have visited her at the hospital.
