The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has come under criticism for its failure to acknowledge the 45th anniversary of the June 4th Revolution, a significant event in Ghana's history.

According to Delanyo Agbe, an NDC activist, the party's silence on the matter is "unacceptable" and "a grave mistake."

"June 4th is a crucial part of our party's history, and ignoring it is a disservice to our founder, Jerry John Rawlings, and the sacrifices he made for this country," Agbe said in a statement

Agbe warned that sidelining Rawlings' legacy and contributions would be detrimental to the party's chances in the 2024 elections. "We cannot afford to forget the sacrifices of June 4th and the vision of our founder. We must unite and move forward, inspired by the spirit of Rawlings and the June 4th Revolution," he emphasized.

As an NDC activist, I am left wondering why our great party, founded by the legendary Jerry John Rawlings, failed to issue a single statement acknowledging this momentous occasion.

The June 4th Revolution was a turning point in our nation's history, and Rawlings' leadership was instrumental in shaping Ghana's political landscape. His vision, courage, and sacrifices inspired a generation of Ghanaians, including many in our party.

Any attempt to sideline his contributions or ignore his enduring popularity among Ghanaians would be a grave mistake.
