The ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) has allegedly disbursed an amount of thirty thousand Ghana Cedis (GHC 30,000) to one Theophilus Saki Sosi of the University of Cape Coast (UCC).

Mr. Theophilus Saki Sosi is a student at the University and vying for the Students' Representative Council (SRC) President in the school's SRC election this year.

According to unconfirmed reports, the candidate allegedly wrote a letter to the leadership of the NDC requesting financial sponsorship to run his campaign and ensure his victory in the SRC elections.

In a letter signed by the NDC National Treasurer Alhaji Abdulla and cited by peacefmonline.com, the ruling party approved the "request" and have een deposited the money into the abovementioned SRC Presidential candidate's bank account.

"I have been directed by the authorities of our great party with orders from above to inform you that an amount of thirty thousand Ghana Cedis (30,000) has been deposited into your account as provided for in your letter referenced above," the letter read.

But the granting of the request comes with a condition.

Mr. Theophilus Saki Sosi is expected to "push NDC preferred candidates during NUGS and USAG Congress if elected and will be enforced to the fullest to justify the disbursement of the grant."
