NDC thanks all for a successful congress

Sunyani, July 12, GNA - Mr. Opoku Atuahene, Brong-Ahafo Regional Chairman of National Democratic Congress (NDC), has expressed appreciation to all individuals and organisations whose diverse assistance ensured the party had a successful congress.

He said "on behalf of the national and regional planning committees of the party we thank the almighty God, National Security, the Police Administration and the Brong-Ahafo Regional Security Council (REGSEC) and the general public for seeing us through the congress".

Mr. Atuahene who was speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Sunyani on Monday said residents of Brong-Ahafo in general, particularly the chiefs and people of Sunyani, Bechem, Duayaw-Nkwanta, Nsuatre, Techiman and Berekum where delegates were accommodated, deserved 93a big gratitude" for their hospitality and cooperation during the congress.

The Regional Chairman added 93we also thank" the traditional authorities and people of Kumasi for their support during the period because no problem occurred when some of the delegates were accommodated there.

On his general impressions about the event, Mr. Atuahene stated "We are highly impressed because all arrangements made worked out successfully."

He said the delegates and supporters conducted themselves in manner that did not portray any security lapses.
