The General Secretary of the National democratic Congress (NDC) Johnson Asiedu Nketiah popularly referred to as “General Mosquito” has revealed on Ahotor FM (92.3) that, the party has referred the government white paper on the Ayawaso West Wuogon (AWW) Emile Shot Commission of Enquiry Report to the party’s (NDC) legal team.
According to Asiedu Nketiah in an interview with Citizen Kofi Owusu monitored by MyNewsGh.com , the stance by the government regarding some recommendations in the white paper is quiet sad and shocking since is the same government that put together commission with a technical mandate to unravel circumstances which led to the Ayawaso melee months ago.
He stressed that, the NDC has deferred the synopsis of the Ayawaso West Wuogon Commission’s report to the legal team of the party for onward guidance and directions and assured the outcome will be made public by the party in due time.
The Emile Shot reports, which has since been in the public domain has been greeted with mixed reactions, especially by appointees in government who are not enthused with regards to the recommendations made.
The AWW reports have been greeted with wild criticisms by some persons who had invitation to appear before the Emile Shot Commission to give testimony regarding the electoral violence which marred the bye- election.
