NDC to retain power in 2012

Twifo Praso (C/R), Dec. 27, GNA- The National Democratic Congress (NDC= ) will leave no stone unturned to retain power in 2012, Mr. Joseph Andoh, District Chief Executive for the Twifo-Hemang-Lower-Denkyira, has said. Speaking at a Christmas party organized by the Member of Parliament fo= r Twifo Ati Morkwa, Mrs. Elizabeth Amoah-Tetteh, for constituency executives and members of the party on Friday, the DCE said with the inauguration of the oil industry and the fulfilment of the President's campaign promises, the future is bright for Ghanaians.

He therefore appealed to party members to remain solidly behind the party and win more people for the party.

Briefing the executives on development programmes of the district, Mr. Andoh said Parliament has given approval for the construction of the Twifo Praso Bridge which is in a deplorable state and that work will soon start since contract had been already awarded.

Mrs. Amoah-Tetteh thanked members of the constituency for their suppor= t and asked them to use the occasion to reconcile with each other. Mr. Martin Luther, a tutor at Takoradi Polytechnic, also explained som= e of the contents and contest of the government's better Ghana agenda and s= ome achievements the President had so far achieved. Mr. Adu Yeboah, Central Regional chairman of the Party, in a short address reminded branch and zonal executives that they are custodians of th= e party and therefore they have the constitutional rights to demand accountability from constituency executives and also settle conflicts among their rank and file. He advised the supporters of the party not to down play the oppositio= n but to work harder to maintain the Ati Morkwa seat which had always been wo= n by the party.
