NDC urged to rally behind Kufuor administration

Edwinase (Ash), March 21, GNA - A National Democratic Congress (NDC) member has called on party members to rally behind the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) government to develop the country.

Mr Anthony Etornam, the New Edubiase constituency chairman of the NDC, told the GNA that since the elections were over, it was important for all Ghanaians to support the good policies of the government to facilitate the development of the country.

"As an NDC chairman, I am advising all my party followers to help the ruling government", he said.

Mr Etornam criticised the politicisation of every issue in the country, saying, that was not in the best interest of the country. "Let us do away with politics and rather use our knowledge and expertise to help push the country forward", he said.

Mr Etornam appealed to both NDC and NPP members to avoid over-politicisation of issues and rather consider the nation first in all their dealings.

He urged the government to listen to the cry of the masses rather than "seeing it as politics".

Mr Etornam commended the Adansi South District Chief Executive, Mr Dominic A.K. Yeboah, for his fairness in the distribution of development projects in the district.

He said the district had witnessed a lot of projects during his tenure of office and it would be in the interest of the district if he were re-nominated as the DCE.

"Even though I am in the opposition, I pray that the President re-nominates Mr Yeboah for the DCE post in the Adansi South", Mr Etornam said.
