A presidential hopeful on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress Prof. Joshua Alabi has asked Ghanaians to watch out for the NDC’s manifesto ahead of the 2020 elections.

In a video shared on his official facebook page, the former Vice Chancellor for the University of Professional Studies, Accra noted that Ghanaians are demanding a better living condition as such the NDC’s manifesto for the 2020 presidential election will be the panacea to Ghana’s economic issues.

‘’I have been monitoring the social media of late there has been an interesting discussion out there. It has to do with the performance of government and the people’s thinking.’’

Wherever you come from I know you want quality life and once you want quality life you want a better manifesto. Watch out the NDC is coming out with a better manifesto which will move us faster that what we have now.’’ He stated.

His comments come in the wake of the presentation of the 2018 budget by the finance minister which stated that the president has delivered on its promises thereby turning the economy around within eleven months in office.

Delivering the 2018 budget statement and the economic policy of the government, the Finance Minister Hon. Ken Ofori Attah stated that:

‘’I am happy to note that we have turned the economy around and our policies are yielding results, restoring hope and bringing relief to Ghanaians. ‘’

His statement has been rubbished by the minority who stated that, the finance minister’s comments are far from the reality.

However Prof. Joshua Alabi has rather asked Ghanaians to pray for the President and his government to succeed.

”The perception out there is that when the government is in opposition, it prays for the downfall of the ruling government. Personally I don’t think so because I am a Ghanaian and this is the only country I have. I will continue to pray for any Government in power to succeed and I know you will also pray for the government to succeed.” He stated.
