Hohoe, Dec 9, GNA - The Hohoe-North Constituency Youth Wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has called on the youth in the area to eschew divisive tendencies and bickering and remain steadfast. Mr Salisu Baba, an Executive of the Association made the call at a forum organised at Hohoe-Zongo by the Youth Wing.
He said with unity and understanding the youth could mobilise sympathisers including those from other parties into their fold. Mr Baba asked the youth to start campaigning for the constituency seat by going from house to house to canvass for voters.
"The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has nothing to offer Ghanaians, everybody is suffering, workers are finding it difficult to pay school fees and even feed themselves", he said.
Mr Baba therefore, urged the youth in the constituency to re-organise themselves and forge ahead for the party to win the next general elections. Mr Sikiru Abibu, the Youth Co-ordinator, urged the national executive to involve the youth in its activities at the grassroots level.
He said the youth have through their own contribution renovated the constituency office at the cost of 1.7 million cedis.
The Co-ordinator said the association has so far embarked on four outreach programmes to bring more members into the party.
He therefore urged the National and Regional Executives of the party to keep in touch with the youth to enable them be abreast with new policies of the party.
Mr Richard Ganyo, President of the Saint Francis Training College branch of Tertiary Educational and Institutional Network (TEIN), pledged their support to the party.
