Ghana’s economy has in the last ten years moved on a wrong trajectory due to bad governance, a former first lady, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings has said.
“We are struggling in every facet of our lives-If you look at the mismanagement of the economy, the general decadence in the system, our poor health system nobody will tell you our country is on a reverse. You cannot take on step forward and three steps back,” Nana Konadu told Kasapa 102.5 FM.
In an interaction with Fiifi Banson on Anopa Kasapa Thursday, the former first Lady said it is regrettable the state of affairs in the country now as she claimed the quality of life of the ordinary Ghanaian is deteriorated over the past years.
The leader and Founder of the National Democratic Party(NDP) said Ghana needs a change of government to save the people from misrule and mismanagement, insisting that it is embarrassing to see Ghana go to rack and ruin.
According to her, nothing points to the fact that the ruling government is ready enough to make things better in the future.
“Is this the best we can have for Ghana?” Nana Konadu questioned, adding that she believes the NDP can do far better than what is going on in the country now.
