NGO Formed To Protect Giselle Yazji

?It?s ?Friends of the Truth? (FOT)

Following the decision of Ms. Giselle Yazji, the lady at the centre of the ?Hotel Kufuor? storm, and following the decision of the CHRAJ not to send her a ticket to come down to testify and impliedly therefore abandoning any responsibility for her safety and security while in Ghana, a group of concerned Ghanaians have formed themselves into a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) to protect and safeguard her and be responsible for her entire security during the period of her stay in Ghana.

Known as the ?Friends of the Truth? (FOT) (Committee for the Protection of Giselle Yazji), the group has made a passionate appeal to all lovers of truth and justice, as well as those who are desirous of ensuring that the country gets to the bottom of the ?Hotel Kufuor? scandal, to join the FOT and also to mass up at the Kotoka International Airport on Giselle Yazji?s arrival to give her a true heroine?s welcome.

According to information reaching Ghana Palaver, registration of all those wishing to join the FOT will begin on Wednesday 10th August 2005.

Registration tables will be set up at the Holy Gardens, Kwame Nkrumah Circle, and the Nima Roundabout, and registration will begin at 10.00 in the morning till 5.00 in the evening.

Registration will last for two days.

Further information available to the Ghana Palaver suggests that Ms. Yazji will arrive in the country some time next week and will hold a Press Conference the next day.

She will endeavour to appear before the CHRAJ the day after.
