NPP Asked Amissah-Arthur Poisonous Questions - Fiifi Kwetey

A Deputy Minister of Finance, Fiifi Kwetey has described questions posed by the New Patriotic Party members on the appointment committee as questions leading to political poison.

The vetting of vice president Amissah Arthur on Monday will go down in the history of the appointment committee as one which saw many supporters of the nominee encourage him to answer questions posed by the committee.

Mr. Fiifi Kwetey in an interview on Gold Power Drive said the nominee, Amissah Arthur, answered the questions posed by the committee diligently based on his party’s principles and believes. The NPP were asking questions to score political points so they can use it in the upcoming elections”.

He further contended that “Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur did well to say that there has been an unprecedented increase in import to the country hence the dollarization of the economy”.

He further indicated that the call by president Mahama for political players to desist from politics of insult is in the right direction adding that “insults in politics result when you don’t have the facts to defend your stands in politics”.

Deputy Minister of Finance, Fiifi Kwetey also noted that “we are in the ring with an opponent who will punch hard and go to the extent of throwing objects at us to win political power. We will defend the people of Ghana against any party that is against the unity and independence of this country.**
