The constituency chairman of the NPP, Sulemana Zakaria, revealed that government had allotted 26 slots for in the school feeding programme for the area.

He, however, revealed that as the DCE grabbed 12 of those slots to be given to deserving party faithfuls, minister for Gender and Women's Affairs Otiko Afisah Djaba took 8 and the remainder was kept to be shared amongst party executives.

The distribution became a bone of contention between the two NPP stalwarts. Sulemana and Veronica Heming traded insults and accusations as they argued out that who should have been given the lion share of the slots.

According to the DCE, they rather need a chunk of the allocation to satisfy party supporters who contributed immensely to its electoral fortunes.

She stated that they grassroots were being ignored by the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo led government after they toiled without fail to make sure the NPP won power during the 2016 General Elections.
