NPP Commends Party Agents

In Ongoing Biometric Registration Exercise

Today marks the end of the third phase of the biometric voter registration exercise and the leadership of the New Patriotic Party wishes to take this opportunity to thank all of its party agents for their hard work, vigilance, dedication and show of commitment, sometimes in the face of intimidation and violence, within the past 30 days.

The leadership of the party is truly humbled by the levels of vigilance and commitment exhibited by our party agents across the length and breadth of the country. The final phase of this exercise beckons and we urge party agents to demonstrate the same levels of commitment and vigilance they have shown so far during the last 10 days of the registration exercise.

The party commends all volunteers across the country who have contributed, in providing food and other forms of logistical support to party agents, and encourage them to remain resolute in their support for the party during the final phase of the registration exercise.

We would also like to take this opportunity to encourage the security agencies to discharge their duties in a professional and even-handed manner, exercising their constitutional mandate without fear or favour.

Despite the reported glitches, in the form of breakdown of registration equipment, that have characterised the registration exercise, the NPP urges the Electoral Commission to ensure a smooth completion of this exercise, and the final results of the exercise deemed acceptable by all.
