NPP Govt Has Politicised The Public Service - Bagbin

The Minority Leader in Parliament, Alban Bagbin has criticised the NPP government for running the affairs of the various ministries, which are public institions as political entities. Speaking on Joy FM’s Super Morning Show, Mr. Bagbin alleged that most public servants who worked under the previous Ministers of State have been replaced, contrary to the laws of the country.

According to the Minority Leader, this move, together with other actions including the arbitrary searches conducted on NDC members go to confirm that the NPP government is bent on ensuring the demise of the NDC.

He wondered why the searches are not extended to NPP members who may also be found guilty of possessing arms. Mr Bagbin reiterated the NDC’s resolve not to appear before any probe committee or commission because the NPP is frustrating their efforts to collaborate with them.

He explained that the NDC was collaborating with the NPP by going to the various Ministries to answer questions on some transactions they negotiated during their regime because “we thought that having stayed in the political wilderness for over 30 years, the NPP needed support to enable them to have a full grasp of how to manage the country.”

The Minority Leader, however, regretted that their decision to co-operate with the current government has been abused, hence their resolve not to appear before any commission of enquiry apart from the courts.
