NPP Greets Workers Of Ghana

Accra, April 29, GNA - The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has sent its warmest greetings to the workers of Ghana on the occasion of the celebration of May Day which falls on Saturday May 1.
A statement signed by Mr Daniel Botwe, General Secretary of NPP, said "on an occasion such as this, it is indeed appropriate that we remember the modest stride we have made in the economy and the NPP would like to place on record its sincere appreciation of the massive contributions Ghanaian workers made towards the resuscitation of the nation's economy and growth".
It said the workers also deserved hearty congratulations for maintaining industrial peace as well as showing maturity and understanding of the stringent measures that the NPP government had so far taken to improve on working conditions and by extension living standards.
"The NPP would want to remind workers of the need to continue with the rebuilding of the economy and, therefore, urges the workers to hold the line and continue to maintain industrial peace and also work harder to quicken the pace of economic recovery for the benefit of all. "Once again the NPP wishes the workers of Ghana Happy May Day Celebration", the statement said.
