NPP Holds Eastern Region Education Forum

The New Patriotic Party will on Sunday, 30th September 2012, hold an education forum in the Eastern Region. The forum, the second in the series of nationwide education forums, comes after the first was held in the Ashanti Region.

The venue for Sunday’s forum is the premises of the Old Prince Boateng Memorial School at Nsawam. The time for the event is 3pm.

Speakers at the event include Hon. O.B Amoah, Member of Parliament for Aburi/Nsawam; Prof Christopher Ameyaw Akumfi; MP for Techiman North and a former Minister for Education; Hon. Stephen Balado Manu, MP for Ahafo Ano South; and Mr Michael Nsowah, a former Director-General of Ghana Education Service.

Other speakers include, Hon. Dan Botwe, Member of Parliament for Okere; Hon. Bernice Beatrice Boateng, MP for New Juaben South; Hon. Frema Opare, MP for Ayawaso West Wuogon.

Yaw Buaben Asamoah and Sammy Awuku, both NPP deputy directors of communication; Frank Annoh-Dompreh, Eastern Regional Youth Organiser; and Hopeson Adorye, a member of the NPP communications team, will also address the gathering.

Speakers at the event explain to Ghanaians why education and skills training is the most important source of empowering and providing opportunities to the youth to help drive Ghana’s development and in the process create jobs.

The event will be carried live on Oman FM, Obuoba FM, Eastern FM, FAWE FM, and Rite FM.

The general public is cordially invited.
