NPP Is Training 300 Arsonists To Bomb NDC ? Rawlings

Former President Rawlings has warned Ghanaians about the existence of 300 people whom he claims has been trained by the NPP government to throw bombs during NDC rallies. He said the NPP wanted to create insecurity and panic in the country to perpetuate their rule. The former President was speaking at a rally in Cape Coast to launch the NDC?s National Campaign on Saturday. He warned that he was ever ready to face those who were planning to kill him saying ?if they should spill any blood, Ghana could be plunged into chaos.?

?They have been itching to kill me for three years now. The machinery they set to murder the Ya Na Yakubu Andani is what they are putting in place for me. They cannot succeed.?

He said that the battle was not only between NDC and NPP, but against justice and against oppressive regimes. He said what the NPP was doing was to apply old tricks. ?These are old tricks in the books, we are aware of them.?

The former President said if an individual criticizes, when a government does wrong, he or she was arrested by the police or military officer and this is tantamount to coup d?etat. ?The misuse of the security services by the Kufuor administration leaves much to be desired?you don?t do that in a command and control situation, it brings confusion and chaos, he said. He said the NPP has started tribalizing the national army because it was terrified of losing the elections. He therefore asked the electorate to vote them (NPP) out of power. The NRC campaign launch attracted all the party gurus, including the national executive members, parliamentarians and a lot of NDC party supporters.
