NPP NEC to suspend Kwabena Agyepong

The Northern Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bugri Naabu, has described the decision of the General Secretary of the party, Kwabena Agyapong, appointing some executives of the party as useless and nonsensical.

The angry chairman noted that all the decisions he had taken so far were unilaterally done without the consent of the National Executive Committee of the party (NEC).

Bugri Naabu explained that by the constitution of the party, every appointment made by the General secretary of the party should be made known to the National Executives.

"Look, we are not going to allow Kwabena Agyapong to ran a one man show. NEC will be meeting this week, and we are going to suspend him," Bugri Naabu vehemently noted.

"I don’t even know all those who have been appointed as NPP spokespersons for any of the regions because I was not consulted," he added.

Questioned about his alliance to Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo, he said it is never true and that he has opened his doors to everybody.

NEC will be meeting, and a decision will be taken to suspend the General Secretary, he assured.
