Two (2) aspirants in the ongoing parliamentary primaries of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) orphan constituencies have stepped down.

MyNewsGh.com has confirmed that in the Cape Coast South Constituency where the Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE) is also a contestant, Stephen J. E. Dadson and Opia Kojo Mensah have withdrawn their interest.

No reasons have been assigned for their decision but this leaves only MCE, Ernest Arthur, Perry Mensah and Nana Kow Dsane Selby to slug it out.

The Cape Coast South Constituency has a total of 523 delegates, 5 Council of elders and 5 patrons who will all be voting today.

Cape Coast South has 95 polling stations and 30 Electoral areas.

The seat is currently occupied by failed presidential aspirant of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kwaku Ricketts Hagan.
