NPP Parliamentary aspirant calls on the youth to vote for the Party

Berekum(BA), July 17, GNA - Mr Kwaku Agyenim Boateng, NPP Parliamentary aspirant for Berekum has called on Ghanaians, especially the youth to vote massively for the Party during Election 2008 to enable it continue with the achievements under the leadership of President John Agyekum Kufour. He said the Government had made a lot of achievements for the nation and more development projects were needed to be completed therefore, retaining the Party was to show appreciation and the nation's accelerated development.

Mr Boateng made the call when addressing a rally organized by Berekum College of Education branch of Tertiary Education Confederacy of New Patriotic Party (TESCON) at Berekum at the weekend. The rally was under the theme, "Renewing the NPP's mandate in governance- The role of teacher trainees". Mr Boateng said the Party instituted better policies for public servants especially teachers and urged them to reciprocate the gesture by voting and give it another term to continue implementing such policies to uplift their image. He cited the introduction of Diploma certificates to trained teachers, distance learning and upgrading of teacher training colleges into tertiary institutions to improve the living standards of teachers. "Another NPP Government would continue to support teachers at all levels," he added.

Nana Adu-Gyan, Brong-Ahafo Regional Chairman of NPP, called for unity and collaboration between the youth and leading members of the Party to ensure a resounding victory on December 7. He advised the youth to avoid insults and intimidation during the campaigning period and accept other peoples' views to ensure peace and stability before, during and after Election 2008.
