NPP Plot To Destabilise NDC Congress

……Lord Commey’s Action Troopers to Be Unleashed to cause Mayhem … The NPP Goons to infiltrate and wear T-shirts of NDC aspirants

With barely two weeks to the historic NDC Congress, reports from our intelligence sources have been rife as to discreet plans by the NPP government and party to foment violent scenes on the day of the Legon Congress scheduled for December 20-22, 2006.

The report as fed us by very reliable security sources, points to a three-pronged strategy to mar the expected peaceful and successful Congress, to elect a presidential candidate for the 2008 elections.

The first plan is to infiltrate the camp of the presidential candidates. According to the details made available, NPP goons and hoodlums controlled by Lord Commey are to disguise themselves and present themselves as supporters of the presidential aspirants. The target is to commandeer as much campaign ‘T-Shirt’ as possible so as to be seen to be rooting for the candidates.

The second plan, which our intelligence sources codenamed plan ‘B’, is for the ‘NPP Action Troopers’ to sub-divide into groups. With a well rehearsed strategy, they are to attack some genuine supporters of one of the candidates. In the ensuing confusion, the police are to intervene. With people likely to sustain injuries from the objects used by the NPP goons, the police personnel, mostly to be drawn from the NPP police will then proceed with dispatch, to effect the arrest of innocent NDC activists for questioning.

The plan ‘C’ is to coerce those arrested to mention the names of some top NDC mandarins as being those who have recruited them to attack one of the presidential candidates and their supporters. This is to be done with the promise of being set free if only they implicate NDC heavyweights in the planned violent scenes.

The New Democrat has been briefed of other preparations being put in place by the NPP strategists in national security, to reduce the outcome of the forthcoming NDC Congress to nothing other than one to be labelled ‘VIOLENT’. In furtherance of this devious plot, the pro-NPP media, which is being co-ordinated by National Security, has been given further financial boost to roll out full steam such headlines to deepen the public consciousness as to tag the NDC as a ‘violent’ party.

As a confirmation of this, the ‘Coffee-Shop Mafia’ has been meeting at an undisclosed location in the Labone area of Accra to brainstorm on the various angles from which to report the outcome of the NDC Congress. Their agents in the various FM Stations are part of the financial largesse. They are to set the agenda by giving their platforms to known critics of the NDC to launch an unrestrained abuse on the party and its leaders.

In the event of the failure of the ‘NPP Action Troopers’ causing mayhem at the NDC Congress, the anti-NDC newspaper press with their active NPP collaborators in radio and TV are to quickly look for diversions to reduce the impact that a successful NDC congress will have on the people of Ghana before the celebration of Christmas.

The New Democrat is monitoring developments and analysing security briefs from our sources and will update our cherished readers of any twists and turns as we straddle towards the NDC Congress at the University of Ghana
