NPP To Scoop 150 Seats - NPP MP

The NPP Member of Parliament for the Amansie West Constituency, Mr. Obuor Karikari has hinted of the readiness of the party to annex a whopping 150 out of the 200 constituencies at the 2004 elections.

The only reason why the NPP would spare the 50 constituencies is the party’s commitment towards preventing Ghana from becoming a one party state.

Speaking to the NETWORK HERALD in Kumasi, the MP said the party would win next year’s elections hands down but in order to give room for opposition, they would go soft in some areas.

According to the paper, Mr. Karikari also likened the conditions of Ghanaians under the 19-year rule of MR. Rawlings and by inference the NDC to the sufferings of the Jews under Moses and described the Kufuor administration as the best government Ghana can ever have.
