NPP Youth UK & Ireland Congratulates Akufo-Addo

Npp Youth Uk & Ireland Congratulates Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo ON HIS ELECTION AS PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE FOR 2012

First and foremost, we wish to congratulate the individual candidates – Nana Akufo-Addo, Alan Kyeremanten, Isaac Osei, Prof Frimpong Boateng and Rev. John Koduah – and their respective campaign teams for participating in this contest to elect the presidential candidate for the NPP for the 2012 presidential elections.
Their mere participation in this contest is a strong indication of intra-party democracy within the NPP. This is an achievement we can be proud of. We should not only applaud this achievement, we should protect it within the Party and further it at the national level.
Secondly, we would like to congratulate all polling station executives who participated in making this election a success; and all members of the executive committee at constituency, regional and national levels for organizing such a free and fair contest – from nominations through vetting to the election itself. Even the Party’s critics have admitted that the contest was very successful and free of all vices. We can only continue to promote healthy competition within the Party.
Thirdly, we would like to thank each and every delegate who voted in the elections. Their votes represented the views of the ordinary Ghanaian.
Lastly, we would like to congratulate Nana Akufo-Addo on winning the keenly contested election.
Furthermore, we thank him for accepting to be the presidential candidate for the NPP in the 2012 presidential elections. Nana Addo can be assured that he will receive the support of the Youth of NPP UK & Ireland throughout the journey to the Jubilee House.
The results of this election demonstrate two things. First, the results demonstrate that there is unity within the NPP and whatever the media has been saying about the NPP is nothing but fabrication and cheap propaganda designed to prevent us from focusing on winning power back.
Second, it means Ghanaians at the grass root level are simply tired of the current government. They have realised the terrible mistake they made by voting for the NDC in 2008 and their only hope is Nana Akufo-Addo.
As the Youth of NPP, we will continue to work hard in bringing awareness to the people of Ghana. We ask all young Ghanaians to join us in returning Ghana to the path of development in freedom.
Signed:
NPP Youth UK & Ireland.
