NPP adopts Goebbellian Campaign

-Of disinformation and misrepresentation

After deploying hired cyber terrorists to mount electronic surveillance on President Mahama and heads of public institutions, hawks in the opposition New Patriotic Party have adopted a new sinister strategy aimed at making government unpopular.
Following the collapse of their agenda to paint the Mahama led-NDC government as filthy and unworthy to govern, power-hungry chieftains of the NPP, The aL-hAJJ’s intelligence has uncovered, have engaged their media acolytes to concoct, put spin and twists to statements made by government and NDC functionaries and to peddle them.
This latest wicked agenda is aimed at whipping up public sentiments against President Mahama and the National Democratic Congress government with hopes of resuscitating the fast dwindling fortunes of the NPP ahead of the 2016 elections.
Reports are that leading figures and strategists of the elephant party have come to terms with reality that the NDC government will end the energy crisis by the end of this year and will also halt the economic downturn in no time, especially now that government has finalized deals with the International Monetary Fund.
This, coupled with the mid-term prospects of the economy, this paper gathered, has pushed the NPP to beef up its crude political tactics by encouraging their media allies to resort to ‘Goebbellian’ tactics among which include, peddling outright fabricated but negative stories, the deliberate twisting of statements and utterances of government officials and NDC functionaries.
Having agreed to this latest move, which sources alleged was fashioned by a well-known spin doctor of the NPP, some pro-NPP media outlets have not only intensified their criticisms of government, they have indeed started distorting and putting spin on statements by government functionaries.
Latest report reaching this paper indicate that some selected media houses, acting on the behest of NPP, are to recycle a discredited old story alleging that the President and his veep, Amissah-Arthur had a fracas at cabinet over the direction of the economy and attributed it to The aL-hAJJ.
“The Al Hajj can report that there were hot exchanges between President John Mahama and Vice President Amissah Arthur at an emergency cabinet meeting before President Mahama embarked for Ethiopia for the African Union Conference, on the state of the Economy and the poor performance of some ministers.”

“The relationship between the President and his vice can best be described as strained despite efforts by senior NDC figures to broker a truce. Relations are said to be so bad that the President does not want to be seen at any function with the Vice and has insisted for their schedules to be separate as much as possible,” the malicious story alleged.
Other government functionaries and NDC stalwarts to have tasted these awful and disgusting plots in recent times include Member of Parliament for Cape Coast South and first deputy Speaker of Parliament, Ebo Barton Oduro; MP for Bawku Central and Minister of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation, MahamaAyariga; MP for Akwatia and deputy Minister of Employment and Labor Relations, Baba Jamal and Minister of Health, Alex Segbefia.
Again, the President and his Veep, Paa Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur have also not ceased to suffer these nefarious plots as they have in recent times come under severe bashing following deliberate misrepresentation of facts churned out by the NPP and their ‘rented media’ outlets.
The strategy of these NPP stables is such that until their victims threaten to take legal actions, they would neither retract the false information nor apologize for the false reportage.
In some instances, they deliberately post the stories on their website and after it has been widely circulated on social media and their targeted victims have been vilified and rundown, they pull the page down.
Prior to this, the strategy of the NPP was to churn out false and damaging stories about government and source it to pro-NDC media houses. This strategy was aptly deflated with series of exposés by the affected media houses of which TheaL-hAJJwas no exception.
