Accra, Oct. 12, GNA - Muslims all over Ghana will climax this year's Ramadan fast with the celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr festival on Saturday.
During the fast, which is one of the five pillars of the religion, Muslims refrained from eating or drinking from just before sunrise to just after sunset.
In a statement the New Patriotic Party congratulated Muslims all over the country for successfully fulfilling this important obligation of their religion for 2007.
"The party is proud that our Muslim brothers and sisters continue to celebrate this festival in Ghana in an atmosphere of peace and tranquility," the statement signed by Nana Ohene Ntow, NPP General Secretary, said.
It said the NPP hoped that Ghana would continue to be favoured by Allah and wished all Muslims a hearty barka da salah.
