NPP communicator questions Alhaji Sinari’s mental health

Alhaji Sinari Alhaji Sinari

A member of the NPP communications team has issued an extraordinary rebuke of Alhaji Sinari, Ghana’s Ambassador to Egypt, after he reportedly called Samira Bawumia a “bastard”.

“No woman should ever be described in these terms or talked about in this manner. Ever," Edmund Kyei stressed.

Alhaji Sinari is reported to have labeled wife of the NPP vice presidential candidate, Samira Bawumia as “tampiri” which literally means bastard.

Tampiri is an abusive word in the Mossi dialect that translates to bastard, and the founder of Zongo for Mahama did not mince words describing the wife of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as such.

He said he would throw Samira back to her parent if she was offered to him to marry for free.

“If this girl with a mouth like that of crocodile should be offered to me for free to marry, I swear to God I would add the dowry to her and throw her back to her parents,” Alhaji Sinari is reported to have made the comments while addressing NDC supporters in the Northern Region.

Reacting to the statements on Monday, Mr Kyei called the comments “totally inappropriate and offensive”.

While calling on President Mahama to relief Alhaji Sinari of his duties, Mr Kyei also questioned his mental health, indicating that such irresponsible statements can only come from a man who requires psychiatric examination.

“Seriously, Alhaji Sinari’s head should be examined urgently,” Mr Kyei stressed.

He says such reckless and misogynistic comments demonstrate the gross incompetence of the Mahama administration, thereby urging Ghanaians to show the NDC the exit next month.

“How can Ghana be free of economic stress if all these hoodlums are parading as ambassadors and government representatives? Certainly not! That is why we need to show this irresponsible government the exit in December 7 by hook or crook.

“Ghanaians are fed-up with this NDC administration that is only interested in casting aspersions and innuendos at people they perceive as political opponent,” he added.

According to Mr Kyei, Ghanaians can only right the wrongs that had been done to them by voting massively for the NPP and Nana Akufo-Addo to restore economic growth and rule of law.
