Member of Parliament (MP) for the Assin Central Constituency, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has faulted the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) for starving its communicators, MyNewsGh.com reports.

He pointed out the communications wing of the party as the weakest link trumpeting the gains of the Akufo-Addo government because its members are “too hungry”.

Speaking in an interview on NET 2 TV monitored by MyNewsGh.com , he bemoaned why Ghanaians keep criticizing the government despite its numerous achievements in the short time that it has been in power.

“Our people should feed the communicators so that they can speak well of the government; they must give them contracts to execute and stop awarding them to NDC members who would turn back to lambast us”, he said.

He said the Akufo-Addo government is on the right path of liberating the country from the harsh economic situation it inherited, touting the “bold steps it took to take Ghana out from the IMF programme”.

“This government has done so well that our communicators must be able to trumpet the achievements to Ghanaians; but I can’t blame them because they are hungry”.

The businessman believes the NPP is the best thing to have happened to Ghana.

In his estimation, each time the party is in power there are a lot of development in all sectors of the economy compared to the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) that has disappointment Ghanaians time without number.

“NPP is the best thing to have happened to Ghana. Anytime the NPP comes into power you see that the economic and political terrain changes. I am the son of a poor teacher but even that time we could attend school through scholarships”. He disclosed.
