Former President Rawlings on Saturday told Ghanaians that although in opposition, the NPP is still controlling the country’s judiciary.
The NDC founder was addressing party delegates and dignitaries at the NDC’s congress in Sunyani which saw his wife losing miserably to president Mills.
The former President pointed out that the NDC has lost several opportunities to prosecute individuals who committed various crimes, be it political or financial in the immediate past government.
He did not understand why people who he thinks have committed certain offences should still be walking free in the country.
The former president’s speech however did not convince the delegates who eventually rejected the former first lady, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings. She polled only 90 votes against 2,771 by president Mills.
