"NPP has done well" - NPP Chiarman

Mr Edward Akuamoah-Boateng, First Vice-Chairman of the Asokwa West Constituency branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has stated that it will be misleading to assess the performance of the NPP government on the basis of physical infrastructural development alone.

Mr Akuamoah-Boateng, who made the point at a forum organised by the Ahinsan Ward of the party in Kumasi on Sunday, cited the lowering of inflation, the peaceful and congenial democratic climate chalked up by the NPP since its assumption of the reins of power. He assured Ghanaians and party supporters that the government will never depart from its campaign and election pledges and that it is determined to fulfil all such promises.

Mr Akuamoah-Boateng advised members never to be discouraged or swayed by the negative things opponents of the NPP preach about the government but rather stand solidly behind the party at all times.

He stressed the need for members to strive to be abreast of all plans and programmes of the government as well as its policies to enable them to defend them and also contribute positively to their realisation.

Mr Akuamoah-Boateng advised the party faithful not to just attend meetings but also make it a policy to pay their dues regularly, since the party depends on such contributions for sustenance and the execution of its programmes.
