NPP has embarked on over 1,000 infrastructural projects in education - Ashanti Regional Minister

Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah, has revealed that the region has benefited from an impressive 1, 164 infrastructure projects in the education sector under the NPP government in the last seven years.

According to him, all projects were started from the scratch by the NPP government, with 957 completed and being used by students

The rest he noted are at various stages of completion.

These projects, which include classroom blocks, ICT centers, dormitories, digital materials, wash facilities, vehicles among others have been scattered across the region.

The Minister in an interview with OTEC News Reporter Jacob Agyenim Boateng, emphasized that this achievement demonstrates the NPP's unwavering commitment to improving education in the region.

He made these remarks at the 2024 Ghana Teacher Prize, where dozens of teachers were recognized for their outstanding contributions.

Looking ahead, Simon Osei Mensah assured that the next NPP government, led by Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, will continue to prioritize education and provide necessary infrastructure for students and teachers.
