The Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has assured the chiefs and people of Adaklu Constituency that his government will continue to ensure more development for the area and other parts of the Volta Region.

Dr. Bawumia has been touring the Volta Region and, as part of his campaign, visited the Adaklu Constituency on Tuesday, October 21, 2024.

Speaking to stakeholders of the community, including Chiefs, Imams, the Clergy, and community members, Dr. Bawumia said the NPP government, in the past seven and a half years, has done a lot for the area, more than the NDC did in its combined 16 years in power in the 4th Republic.

Dr. Bawumia listed a number of projects the NPP has brought to the community, including a stadium.

"We have brought portable drinking water to Adaklu. We have built a youth resource centre and a stadium here in Adaklu. We have brought a district police command here. We have built a magistrate court with a bungalow, just as is done in every district. We are building an Agenda 111 hospital right here in Adaklu. So this tells you our philosophy in economic development.

"The roads, when the NDC was in government for 16 years, they didn't build the roads for you, but we are making a lot of efforts in many areas, so we believe that Adaklu will do better under the NPP and under Dr. Bawumia because we have shown what we can do. The evidence is clear," Dr. Bawumia said.

The vice president added that with the constitution guaranteeing him two terms in office, unlike his opponent, former President Mahama, who can do only one term, he will be more accountable to the people because he will seek re-election and will work harder to earn more of their trust.

Dr. Bawumia, therefore, urged the community and the region to support him as president so that he can implement his inclusive vision, which he shared with the stakeholders, to move the country forward.
